Role Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Shopify Developer with strong expertise in building, customizing, and optimizing Shopify and Shopify Plus eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Shopify theme development, custom app integrations, API integrations, and performance optimization. The candidate should be capable of independently handling end-to-end Shopify development projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Shopify and Shopify Plus stores.
• Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Develop custom Shopify functionalities and integrations using Shopify APIs.
• Build and integrate third-party apps, payment gateways, shipping solutions, and ERP/CRM systems.
• Optimize website speed, performance, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, compatibility issues, and production incidents.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend teams for seamless implementation.
• Ensure best practices in coding standards, security, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers when required.
• Stay updated with the latest Shopify ecosystem updates and eCommerce trends.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in Shopify development.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Shopify & Shopify Plus
  • Liquid Template Language
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Shopify APIs & GraphQL
  • Theme customization and development
  • Custom app integration
• Experience with:
  • REST APIs and third-party integrations
  • Payment gateway integration
  • Shopify app configuration and customization
  • Git/GitHub or other version control systems
• Good understanding of:
  • Responsive web design
  • Website performance optimization
  • SEO best practices
  • eCommerce workflows and customer journeys

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with React.js, Node.js, or Next.js
• Exposure to headless commerce architecture
• Knowledge of Shopify Hydrogen/Oxygen
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup
• Good stakeholder management and time management skills

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidate should have experience handling multiple Shopify store implementations.
• Prior experience in international eCommerce projects is preferred.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
