Veterinary Medical Director – Prince Rupert, British Columbia
We have an opportunity for an experienced Veterinarian to lead an exemplary team as Medical Director in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. This veterinary practice provides compassionate, quality veterinary care for small animals, including urgent care and after hours care. The state-of-the-art facility offers everything needed for quality pet care, including wellness and preventive care, dentistry, medical diagnostics, nutritional support, surgery, a pharmacy, in-house laboratory, and digital x-rays.
The Medical Director (MD) is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-days operations related to the medical care and treatment rendered to the patients of the hospital. The MD will plan, direct, and coordinate office activities, mentor the veterinary and technical team, and oversee the standards and profitable operations of the practice. The MD also educates clients and strives to deliver a high level of all aspects of veterinary care to companion animals. The MD is responsible for improving the quality of care provided to pets we care for, offering impeccable client service and a supportive work environment.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, a high degree of integrity, and advanced managerial skills. Positivity, empathy, humility, and a passion for connecting with pets, clients, and employees alike are all required traits. Experienced Medical Directors are preferred, but an experienced Veterinarian with a disposition towards leadership would also be considered.
