Position Overview
The Senior International Franchise Business Consultant is a high-impact field leadership role responsible for supporting, advising, and influencing a portfolio of international master franchise markets. This position serves as a strategic business partner to franchisees and market leaders, helping them drive sustainable revenue growth, improve profitability, strengthen operational execution, and maintain compliance with Mathnasium’s System Standards.
This role is designed for a seasoned franchise professional with strong experience in a similar position within the retail, QSR, service, education, or broader franchise industry.
The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen, operational expertise, and cross-cultural agility, and is capable of working with both senior market leaders and local operating teams. International travel experience is strongly preferred.
The Senior International Franchise Business Consultant will play a critical role in advancing market performance, improving execution, supporting expansion, and driving adoption of key initiatives across the international network. In addition to supporting day-to-day franchise business needs, this role will also lead more complex market situations, provide recommendations to senior leadership, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of international franchise support. This builds on the original attached role, which already emphasizes support for international master franchise markets, growth, compliance, market visits, and regular business reviews.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the lead business partner for an assigned portfolio of international master franchise markets.
• Build strong relationships with franchisees and market leaders, providing strategic and operational guidance across the business lifecycle.
• Conduct regular business reviews to assess KPIs, identify opportunities, and drive revenue, enrollment, profitability, and operational improvements.
• Support market development activities including center openings, relocations, relaunches, ownership transitions, and turnaround efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Mathnasium’s System Standards, operating procedures, and brand expectations.
• Drive adoption of new systems, tools, initiatives, and best practices across assigned markets.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, training, marketing, finance, and leadership teams to support franchise success.
• Travel internationally to conduct in-market visits, coaching sessions, workshops, and operational assessments.
• Provide market insights to leadership and contribute to process improvement across the international support function.
• May mentor less experienced team members and support complex market situations as a senior resource.

• Support a portfolio of international master franchise markets as the lead consultant and key relationship owner.
• Influence business performance across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones.
• Contribute directly to revenue growth, center performance, compliance, franchisee engagement, and market development.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to both franchise partners and internal leadership.
Qualifications (Required)
• 7+ years of experience in franchise business consulting, field support, multi-unit operations, franchise performance, or comparable business coaching roles.
• Strong experience in a similar role within the retail, QSR, service or education franchise industry.
• Demonstrated success driving business growth, operational improvement, and franchisee performance across multiple units or markets.
• Strong understanding of unit economics, KPIs, business planning, local marketing, and operational excellence.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
• Proven ability to influence without direct authority and build credibility with franchisees and senior stakeholders.
• Strong cross-cultural communication skills and ability to work effectively in diverse international environments.
• High degree of professionalism, adaptability, initiative, and accountability.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally, including trips of more than one week.
• Ability to work flexible hours to support markets across multiple time zones.
Preferred
• Experience supporting international franchise, master franchise, or area developer structures.
• Experience handling complex market situations, including turnarounds, ownership transitions, or underperforming franchise relationships.
• Prior experience mentoring or informally leading other consultants or field support team members.
• Multilingual (Spanish and/or Arabic preferred)
• International business travel experience.
