As a Airport Security Officer - Unarmed Terminal Patrol in Kailua-Kona HI youll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers staff and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols engaging with the public and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License
• 21 years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check drug screening and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors travelers and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities within a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout terminals public areas restricted access points and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances exits and access points while verifying authorized access directing pedestrian traffic and assisting with questions in a professional manner.
• Support day-to-day operations by communicating with site contacts and public agency personnel following post orders and maintaining awareness of changing conditions across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
