Roofer / Roofer Helper – Kalamazoo, MI

Starting at $21+/hour

Optional low‑cost shared employee housing available

Purpose of the Role

Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial flat roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, BUR, modified bitumen, and metal roofs. No prior roofing experience required — we’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals ready to learn and grow in the roofing and construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks with professionalism and attention to detail
• Maintain strong punctuality, reliability, and work ethic
• Work safely and efficiently at all times
• Climb ladders frequently and work comfortably at heights
• Lift 60+ lbs regularly throughout the workday
• Bend, climb, kneel, and perform other physical tasks as needed
• Work outdoors year‑round in varying weather conditions
• Collaborate effectively with team members
• Read tape measures and safely use hand tools
• Maintain a basic tool set (tool list provided)
• Follow job specifications, company procedures, and safety guidelines
• Use proper PPE and fall‑protection systems
• Pass an employment physical and drug screening

• Dependability: Must be punctual and maintain consistent attendance
• Job Performance: Complete duties safely, efficiently, and with quality
• Conduct: Follow all worksite rules, company policies, and safety regulations; violations may result in disciplinary action, up to termination
