Responsibilities

Position Summary: Review, polish, and verify written and electronic communications to eliminate grammatical, spelling, and structural flaws. This fast-paced, production-focused role ensures that all typeset content completely aligns with original manuscripts and strict client copywriting style guides.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and correct electronic and written documents for spelling, layout formatting, syntax, and punctuation errors.

  • Conduct meticulous side-by-side comparisons of final typeset drafts against original copy to guarantee flawless matching.

  • Audit text for narrative style, overall readability, and absolute compliance with client-specific Copywriting Style Guides.

  • Verify that all requested modifications, revisions, and internal corrections have been executed perfectly before final submission.

  • Utilize Adobe Acrobat and MS Word editing tools to clearly annotate, markup, and track changes on documents.

  • Coordinate and facilitate smooth collaborative reviews between internal team members utilizing the TFS software application.

Requirements:

  • Proven professional experience in copyediting, proofreading, or a closely related publishing fields.

  • Exceptional mastery of English grammar, editing notation, and various corporate copywriting layouts.

  • High technical proficiency annotating digital documents in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word.

  • Direct experience utilizing workflow tracking software (prior TFS application usage is a plus).
