We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join a professional team and deliver high-quality finishes on a variety of projects. You will prepare surfaces, apply paints and coatings, and ensure that every project meets precise quality and safety standards while working both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure proper adhesion and a smooth finish.
• Perform paint preparation tasks, including masking, patching, and repairing minor surface imperfections.
• Apply paint, stain, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment in accordance with project specifications.
• Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired shade and finish for each project.
• Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality finishes and make any necessary touch-ups.
• Maintain painting tools, spray equipment, and other materials in good working condition.
• Organize and store materials and equipment properly after each job.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working with paints, chemicals, ladders, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area throughout each project.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to plan work, meet deadlines, and complete projects efficiently.

Essential Skills

• 3–4 years of commercial experience as a painter in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Proficiency in a wide range of painting techniques and familiarity with different types of paints and materials.
• Strong paint preparation skills, including cleaning, sanding, priming, and masking.
• Ability to apply paint, stain, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Capability to mix and match paint colors accurately to meet project requirements.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as effectively as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods while performing painting tasks.
• Awareness of and adherence to safety protocols in a painting environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, or industrial painting.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good order.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow project instructions.

Work Environment

This role primarily involves indoor painting work. You will work on-site in interior spaces where you will perform surface preparation, painting, and finishing tasks. The position requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods while using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. You will operate in a setting that emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety practices, with a focus on maintaining a tidy and well-ordered work area.

This is a Contract position based out of Spokane, WA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
