Job Opportunity – Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider – Massachusetts

Start Date: As soon as credentialed (FMLA coverage through October 1)

Location: Massachusetts

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Flexible scheduling options available: 4×10-hour shifts (ideal), 3×10-hour shifts, or minimum 2×10-hour shifts per week. Alternative schedule of 3×8-hour shifts for 2 weeks per month also considered. Preferred shift: 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday through Sunday coverage needs.

Highlights:

• Work in a Level 3 hospital emergency department focusing on lower acuity patients
• Shared visit model working side-by-side with attending physicians
• Manageable patient volume of 15-20 patients per 10-hour shift (approximately 1.5 patients per hour)
• Epic EMR system in use
• Adult patient population with bread and butter emergency medicine cases
• Travel expenses covered including flight, hotel, and rental car or mileage reimbursement

Requirements:

• Board certification required
• Active Massachusetts state license (or willingness to obtain if Physician Assistant)
• BLS certification current
• Active DEA registration
• Minimum 2 years of emergency medicine experience required
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimal orientation
