We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Locums Dental Hygienist to join a busy dental practice in Mesa, Arizona. This opportunity offers a flexible locum tenens assignment in a supportive clinical environment focused on providing high-quality preventive and periodontal care to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and periodontal evaluations.
Complete routine dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance as indicated.
Take and review dental radiographs.
Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants.
Screen for oral diseases, including periodontal disease and oral cancer.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive dental care.
Document patient findings, treatment plans, and clinical notes in the electronic dental record.
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
Maintain infection control standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
Active Arizona Dental Hygienist license.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
