Job Title: Electrician
Location: Fort Eustis, VA
Type: Contract
Compensation: 35-40+
Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Hours: 40.0; M-F 6AM-2:30PM

Overview

Responsibilities

• This is a temporary position for a local project expected to last 4+ months; depending on performance, contractors could be placed on another project.
• Apply advanced knowledge of electrical theory and NEC code
• Perform NEC calculations
• Execute all types of conduit bends using various bender types
• Install raceways, boxes, cables, panels, breakers, and transformers
• Assist with wire pulling and switchboard installation
• Install light fixtures, devices, and cover plates
• Connect branch circuits including terminations and equipment
• Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Maintain basic knowledge of control systems and components
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of electrical theory and NEC code
• Experience with conduit bending and installation
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Basic testing and troubleshooting skills
• Electrician license or certification preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• MUST HAVE A VALID REAL ID FOR BADGING
• Must pass a panel 5, no THC drug screening
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks and work at heights
• Detailed-oriented with good problem-solving skills
